I met up with an artist friend and brother tonight. I was blown away because he gave me this beautiful painting. I couldnt find my camera so I had to use my cell to take this picture. Doesnt really do it justice. The piece is 4 foot by 2 foot. My freind P had this feeling like I was the destiny for this painting. I am honoured and indeed, I will cherish it for the rest of my life. P jokingly said...who knows..maybe some day it will be worth something..haha. I responded by saying that it is priceless right now! We shared our views on what this art means. P was interested in what I saw and how it spoke to me, while I was interested in what was in P's mind when he painted this beauty. I think we were both amazed at how close we were. This language of love and truth is universal. I am blessed.

Closer to a Dream

Our offer was accepted and we have three days for due diligence and then we close on July 15. There is ample room for our home office, and there is very good data in the area. I will be able to work from home and commute to Mississauga once a month for a few days. The house is a dream come true and amazingly it will be more affordable than our Old School House. We are truly blessed.

We put an offer in on another home this past weekend. The minute we stepped foot in the door we knew this was it. We should find out today..hopefully. The house is currently empty. We spent 2 hours there, just soaking it all up. As we stepped out the front dorr to leave, I looked to the sky and what did I see? A Bald Eagle! Miracles and signs and wonders!

Trying to Buy a House

Well we found the most awesome beautiful place. We put a fair offer in and it was all looking great. So just as we had spent days dreaming we had our hopes dashed. They have decided to take the place off the market. Doh! Just wasted a week and we are on a tight time line. We must be out of our house on July 15 and today it is June 17 and we are starting from scratch again. Oh well such is life. There is a beautiful place waiting for us....our job is to find it. Funny that after buying this house 100 times in my mind, I blew it on the first try. Well, to be fair, it was not our fault....The vendor just got cold feet.

All things happen for a reason and when Sue and I are finally enjoying a cup of Java on our deck, overlooking our dream, it will all be wioorthwhile....Until then...DOH.

Who Do I Think Jesus Is? Letter to Brenda

I beleive Jesus is God. God Himself came to humanity in the person of Jesus Christ. God put on a human face for us to understand and embrace Him in our hearts, minds, will, soul and being. We could have a restored relationship with the the almighty creator God. Through the wonderful plan of salvation, one can come to know God. By embracing Jesus Christ, one is embracing God, for they are one in the same.

When Jesus left us in human form and returned to His throne, the Holy Spirit was and is sent to those He so desires and to those who have come to know Him or seek Him. I shall call this Spirit. Spirit is Gods mighty force and influence. Picture an exploding star of perfection showering on us in the form of Spirit. Spirit is now the essense of our spiritual attachment to God. Through Spirit I am one with Jesus, I am one with God, for Spirit IS God. Sounds pretty tradtional Three in One thought to me.

Perhaps here now is where I have strayed. I beleive God almighty made himself known to All of humanity. I beleive the plan of salvation will be worked miraculously across all religions, all cultures, all peoples.

I beleive that God also manifested Himself in many "Christ-like" or "Christ figures" to many culture groups. For example, Peacemaker arrived in a white canoe. He shone like the sun. He taught the natives the way of peace and ended the generations of war. He taught the way of cooperation and the greatest thing Love. When the peoples hearts turned back toward the Creators intent, the Peacemaker turned into an Eagle and flew away.

Many native stories talk about the son of the creator who taught them everything about how to live in harmony with the creator and mother earth. I read about the White Buffalo Calf Women, who became the face of the creator for tribes and helped define how one might properly address God. Other natives eagerly await the return of Wakitanka. These are all many faces of God expressed in humanity, just as He expressed Himself to us through Jesus. Am I saying they were Christ? I cant say because I dont know. However, the yeilding of one's heart to God has to do with accepting God in us..Emmanuel.

Jesus taught me how. Peacemaker taught the six nations how. White Buffallo Calf Women taught the American Natives how. All have helped restore the relationship between a people and their God.

So how do I resolve this? Easy. It has to do with Bible prophesy. Jesus Christ will return. He will sort the whole mess out. Bible prophesy tells us he will rememebr our sins no more. Regradless of our crazy misconceptions and misunderstandings and even utter evilness, He will cleanse us and restore us....a double prophesy.

Who is us? I beleive those who have turned their hearts to God, regardless of their culture and religion. They may not know the Jesus we know, BUT, They will know Jesus when He returns! Their hearts will have been prepared.

Interestly, there were promises made by God to the house of Jacob and to the house of Israel. These promises appear to be independant of whether or not they have accepted Jesus Christ here and now as their personal saviour. No simply He said exactly what He was going to do. He was going to restore His poeple. There is nothing anyone can do about it, and therfor there is nothing anyone can do to cause it or stop it. Man will have no influence on this. He will do it because He said and because that is what He intends to do.period.end. Its another model of grace.

While my immediate faith in Jesus Christ has been a blessing to me, It is Spirit that I count on now to guide me. It is Spirit that tells me to love with all my heart, regardless of doctrine. It is Spirit that tells me its OK to join in with the joys of my brothers and sisters as we worship the same God in differant ways. The Mighty Lord God forgave me of my differances on the floor of a Seikh gardwara. The Spirit bekons me to simply be. Simply live in the freedom and joy of a restored relationship.

I wish that all these things I talk about would be seen in how I live, not in what I say. I want to just simply be. I beleive that once you know Spirit, you can simply be. That is the point when all the doctrine in the world is just words and talk and banging gongs and chasing of the wind.

Brenda. I promise I will never turn from Christ, its simply not possible. Endulge me or even challenge me as I look beyond the words of man and doctrines argued by man, in search of the simple and pure love that Spirit enables and even demands.

Watch for the fruits of the Spirit and you will be amazed at where they can be found....then follow the path back and you will be even more amazed where it came from.

Painting in Spirit

So I close my eyes and dream,

I think about the creator

and how we have been blessed.

I think about Spirit and how

life giving breathe was poured out on us.

I think about people I love

and love itself.

I meditate on the granduer and glory of life in Spirit

and I stop and wait patiently

as praises still reverberate in my head

and then a vision appears.

Using my childlike talent

I just give what I got

and while the critic in me scorns,

the Spirit in me rejoices

Expresions of Spirit

Young, Old, talented and talentless

Spirit rejoices in our expressions.

Despite any fleshly thing

Spirit reaches out

with me as a vessal or an instrument

to bring life

to bring healing

to bring restoration

to bring understanding

to bring peace to the soul

and to rejoice in this wonderful life

in Spirit.

The Beginning

In the beginning

God created the heavens and the earth.

Now the earth was formless and empty,

darkness was over the surface of the deep,

and the Spirit of God

was hovering

 over the waters.

And God said,

"Let there be light,"

and there was light.

God saw that the light was good,

and He separated the light from the darkness.

Spirit Prophesy

Isaiah 42:1


[ The Servant of the Lord ] "Here is my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him and he will bring justice to the nations. (Yeshua...is that You?)

Isaiah 44:3

For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants. (Yeshua....is that me?)

Studying Spirit

I have been making an understanding shift with regards to my faith. I was born and raised in an evangelical christian home and have always viewed the world on the basis of this understanding....this world view. Over the last year my understanding has been shifting. While I studyed the native view of Gitchi Manido and the Great Spirit, I was overwhelmed with the thought that we in fact were worshing the same God in differant ways. I found that my past thought was predjudiced and led me in a direction of seperation. In the meantime, I beleive that the Spirit was leading me to unification. While I was studying the native religious view, I decided to forget everything I learned as a Chrsitian. I beleive I found the same God and it sent me for a loop. Since I truly beleive in God, in Christ and in the Holy Spirit, I decided to go back now to my Holy Bible and re-read.

I have begun to use this term Spirit now as my human experience of God. At first I was uncomfortable but once I came to realize that Spirit IS Gods Holy Spirit then I began to understand and feel more comfortable with my Spirit relationship. So I did a quick phrase search on bible gateway. Here is but a small sample of how Spirit is referred to in the Holy Bible. I chose passages from the book of John as John was "the one Jesus loved". There are hundreds of refrences to the word "spirit". I noticed some are capitalized and some are not. Use of the word Spirit is often in conjunction with "Holy" but not always. The bible drops the word Holy while still maintianing the importance of Spirit. These are just phrases and as such, might be a little out of context, so I gave references for the more studious amongst us.

John 1:32
Then John gave this testimony: "I saw the Spirit come down from heaven as a dove and remain on him.
(Jesus was filled with the Spirit from heaven)


John 3:5
Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. (Jesus views Spirit as an essential condition)

John 3:6
Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. (Clearly Spirit is Sacred and not fleshly. Therefor of God, not man)

John 3:34
For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit without limit. (Spirit is from God and freely given)

John 4:24
God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth." (We must worship God in Spirit and Truth)

John 6:63
The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life. (the sacredness and importance of Spirit as a true life giving force)

John 7:39
By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified. (Yeshua promised that Spirit would be sent once He had been glorified in death and resurrection. Spirit took over when Yeshua left. While Yeshua can be known, it is now through Spirit that we can be one. Spirit is the connection)

John 14:26
But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. (Spirit becomes teacher and guide)

John 16:15
All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine and make it known to you. (We can know God by Spirit)


So, when you see or hear me talk about "Spirit", please dont think I'm worshipping Spirits. That is not the case. Yeshua promised that he would send Spirit to be our guide and councellor. The very Spirit of God, which now manifests itself in those who beleive or understand or have accepted this sacred gift of relationship and oneness with the creator. It is through the wonderful gift of Spirit, that I can run the race with boldness and assurance. Yeshua promised. Through Spirit, I am one with God.

Sold!

We Sold the House! Mixed emotions for us as this truly was a beautiful home. We raised our children here and spent a good part of our married life here. If we could have moved it with us we would have but we couldnt. The house sold to some beautiful people who will love it just the way we did. They are so excited and we are so happy for them.

Next weekend Sue and I are going to Sturgeon Falls to look at homes. We need to be close to North Bay and my job requires very good internet bandwidth. Unfortunaletly, remote locations wont work.......yet. We are going to keep the camp at Emerald Lake in order to get our wilderness fix.

I am very excited and look forward to the next chapter.......
