Don't! Because of it you may now be able to be a better friend. I'm not a predestination guy, but I do believe that sometimes the big things like this happen for a reason. Big things like, that you should be the one close to them, that you should now be able to better understand the situation and that you should be able to walk in anothers shoes if only for a moment. These are defining moments. God inspired. And they're beautiful.
